image Tobacco On Trial (TOT) is recommended for 5th or 6th grade students. TOT consists of four class sessions lasting 45 to 50 minutes. It is recommended that the four sessions be taught on consecutive school days, however they can be spread out to as many as four weeks. This program focuses on tobacco education, consequences of tobacco use, why people start, the power of advertising, decision making, and alternatives to trouble.

imageTowards No Tobacco Use (Project TNT) is a CDC approved program that was specifically developed for middle/junior high school youth (grades 5-8). Project TNT consists of ten core sessions each lasting 45-50 minutes. These sessions were written to be delivered over ten consecutive school days, although they could be spread over as many as four weeks. The program’s main emphasis is on changing normative beliefs and perceptions of prevalence of use, and on teaching decision-making, effective communication, and refusal assertion skills.
