Household Hazardous Waste Survey

The Salt Lake Valley Health Department’s Division of Environmental Health has a mission: to promote and protect the health of the people and the environment of Salt Lake County. As part of this mission, we have a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Program that works hard to collect and properly dispose of hazardous wastes. To improve the HHW Program, we are conducting a survey to get information about how the HHW Program is used. The survey information will:

Tell us how many people know about the HHW Program and use it
Help us provide better HHW education to more people
Guide us in improving our collection methods
Assist in deciding where to put a new collection facility

A more central collection facility will:

Reduce travel time for you and our staff
Improve the safety of collecting and disposing of HHW
Reduce the amount of hazardous waste sent to the landfills
Reduce program costs
