Eagle Scouts
The Salt Lake Valley Health Department supports Eagle Scout projects dealing with the proper disposal of household hazardous wastes.
The Eagle Scout must call (801) 541-4078 to schedule an appointment to set up the project. They have to outline an educational program and a collection event for paint product only. Approved projects will only be accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Faciltiy located at 6030 W. California Ave. No other location will accept material from an Eagle Scout Project.
If the Eagle Scout does not comply with the above stated requirements, the staff cannot sign off on their project.
To set up an Eagle Scout Project please call the Water Quality and Hazardous Waste Bureau at (801) 541-4078.
