The purpose of the Salt Lake Valley Health Department Schools Program is to provide education and enforce State Rules on the design, construction, operation, sanitation, and safety of schools.

 These rules shall be liberally construed and applied to provide minimum requirements for the protection of the health and safety of the school occupants and the general public.
