Indoor Air Quality
(Non Tobacco)
The purpose of the Salt Lake Valley Health Department Indoor Air Quality Program is to investigate reports of problems with indoor air pollution in businesses or homes when the cause is not from the use of tobacco.
These are often reported as “peculiar” or “chemical” odors or it is reported that people using the building are getting sick. Sometimes faulty furnaces can cause carbon monoxide poisoning, but there are many other contaminants that can cause indoor air pollution.
