Oral Health: Keeping your teeth, mouth and gums in good condition to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
Proper oral health care not only keeps teeth, mouth, and gums healthy - it also contributes to good overall health.
The Oral Health Program is developed based on proven best practice and scientific evidence that improves oral health.
The Salt Lake Valley Health Department works to improve oral health for residents in Salt Lake County by:
- Educating about and assuring continued implementation of community water fluoridation.
- Working with community partners to coordinate
oral health services for the underserved populations.
- Linking uninsured individuals to dental/oral health care.
- Encouraging pro-oral health policies.
