Car Seat Tips

  • Read the owner's manual for the car seat and your vehicle.
  • When installed correctly, the car seat should not move more than one inch side- to-side and front-to-back.
  • Many car seats have an expiration date stamped in the plastic. Car seats should not be used for longer than 5-6 years.
  • Find out if your car seat has been recalled.
  • Use of second hand car seats is not recommended, unless you know the history of the seat. Ensure it has not expired or been recalled.
