How can I get a food handler card?
You must attend a food handler class. Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week. The cost is $15. Food handler class schedule and other information.
I lost my food handler card. How can I get a replacement?
You must call the Bureau of Food Protection at (801) 313-6620. You will be asked for your name, date of birth, approximate date that you attended the class and where you attended the class.
How do I get a kitchen inspection for my residential child care and what is the inspector checking for?
You must submit an application for inspection and the fee of $60 to the Bureau of Food Protection. Please visit the Residential Child Care page for a printable application and for the items that the inspector will check in your kitchen.
