Purpose

Welcome to the SLVHD Bureau of Epidemiology website! The Bureau of Epidemiology serves the community in multiple ways. The principal function of the Bureau is to monitor the health of the community encompassed by Salt Lake County. This is achieved by routine evaluation of communicable disease incidence, in addition to evaluation of special surveillance projects. The Bureau provides assistance with mapping public health data to various agencies and programs, and the Bureau also serves the community through providing Vital Records services.
